Current Schedule of Parent Committee Meetings
Committee Meetings
Troop 575 generally has parent committee meetings every 3rd Monday of each month from September thru May (December excepted) The meetings are help at the same time as the scout meetings and end at the same time. The meetings start propmtly at 7:00 P.M. All decisions regarding troop operations are presented, discussed, and voted on by majority vote at these meetings.
Any parent of a scout is welcome and encouraged to attend the meetings and interact as a voting member. You are not required to be registered or regularly attend scout meetings to attend the parent meetings.
Troop By-laws
The Troop is governed by a set of rules that were established not only by the National -BSA, but by the original group of scouters that started the Troop in 1991. The by-laws are modified from time to time by a quorum of parent members and then presented to the Troop Committee for final approval. The current by-laws for Troop 575 can be found here.
Chairpersons for Fundraisers
With each year we need new people to take over the responsibility to coordinate these fundraisers. We would ask that anyone interested in assisting with the fundraisers please talk to either the Scoutmaster of Committee Chair about your wishes. These people that take on these tasks are dedicated people and with the introduction of new people, we can continue to be successful.
